2 So she ran to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said to them, âThey have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we donât know where they have put Him!â 3 At that, Peter and the other disciple went out, heading for the tomb. 13 They said to her, â Woman, why are you crying?â âBecause theyâve taken away my Lord,â she told them, âand I donât know where theyâve put Him.â 14 Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, though she did not know it was Jesus. Who is it you are looking for?â Supposing He was the gardener, she replied, âSir, if youâve removed Him, tell me where youâve put Him, and I will take Him away.â 16 Jesus said, âMary.â Turning around, she said to Him in Hebrew, âRabbouni!â âwhich means âTeacher.â 17 âDonât cling to Me,â Jesus told her, âfor I have not yet ascended to the Father. 25 So the other disciples kept telling him, âWe have seen the Lord!â But he said to them, âIf I donât see the mark of the nails in His hands, put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe!â 26 After eight days His disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them.

David and I were in the centre of Cambridge, walking past Kings Parade, heading in the general direction of Heffers. On our way we passed a huddle of retired Cambridge types, casually attired, talking loudly and animatedly,in over cultivated vowel sounds.

On Saturday I was especially looking forward to seeing Kenny Loggins at 12th & Porter, along with Richard Marx and Gary Burr. and staked out a place in line at a ridiculously early time, but common sense and the desire to see my friends Tim Buppert and Jerry Vandiver in their early show prevailed. Buppert and Vandiver (known to some as “The Tim and Jerry Show”) were in typical form, jabbing and heckling one another in a friendly competition for laughs. Marx declared after his first song. And he also succeeded in pleasing the audience, along with Marx and Burr, playing a set of one great “assisted solo” he demanded in mock protest “why do people always laugh when I say that?”After a nominal amount of time at the TPS after-party, where I made repeated trips to the bar for o.j. and water before moving on to the hard stuff (Coca-Cola, straight), and chatting with friends (and hearing nearly all of what was said), it was time to call it a night, and a week…until next year.
