Array-ne From Reuters NATO will offer airlift, training and other logistics support to African Union (AU) forces struggling to end the civil war in Sudan’s Darfur region, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said on Tuesday. De Hoop Scheffer said envoys to the 26-country alliance had agreed a package of measures to be offered to the AU at an international conference in Addis Ababa on Thursday.

-ne From NATO On 18 May the North Atlantic Council agreed to task the Alliance’s military authorities to provide, as a matter of urgency, advice on possible assistance NATO could offer to the African Union in Darfur. The decision by the North Atlantic Council follows a request on 26 April by the African Union for consideration by NATO of the possibility of providing logistical support to the African Union’s peacekeeping operation in Darfur.

An Iraqi police official said that seven Iraqi secondhand goods vendors on the bus were shot, killing three and wounding four when American troops opened fire on the vehicle, whilst the U.S. military said it had heard a report of a bus being attacked, but did not know who was involved.The US and other occupation forces hold responsibility for all the Iraqis who were killed because of this illegal war, whether those Iraqi civilians were killed directly by US and occupation soldiers or because of the Iraqi National Resistance attacks targeting the occupying forces.

Well, I care for two reasons really.One, I think those who are keeping the lists mentioned above are providing an invaluable resource for scholars and laymen alike, and I’d like to see those lists as complete as possible.Two, I happen to live in a suburb of Dallas, where P26 resides, and have had the opportunity to hold the 6th/7th century manuscript with my own hands (the manuscript being sandwiched between plates of glass, of course).
